The terms, in plain language.

Who we are

HereBriefly is provided by HereBriefly, Copenhagen, Denmark. You can reach us at hello@herebriefly.com. “We” on this page means that business; “you” means whoever uses the service, whether briefing, receiving a brief, or running a studio account.

What HereBriefly is

A tool for writing design briefs by answering questions, sending the result as a link, and having the receiver flag, question and accept it. The free product is complete and needs no account. Paid plans add persistence and identity for studios: links that do not expire, a record of briefs, branding, custom questions, an intake link and seats. The plans and what each includes are on the pricing page, which is part of these terms.

Using it without an account

Anyone may create and send briefs free of charge. A free brief stays readable for 30 days from sending; if it is accepted in that time it stays readable indefinitely. An expired brief can be restored once from its edit link within 60 days, after which it is deleted. You are responsible for keeping the edit link; it is the only key to a brief that was made without an account.

Studio accounts

A studio account belongs to whoever controls the email address it was opened with. Keep that inbox secure: a sign-in link sent to it is as good as a password. A Team owner is responsible for the people it gives seats to. You must be at least 18 to open an account, and if you open one for a company you confirm you may bind it to these terms.

Your content

The briefs you create are yours. You give us the right to store them and show them to the people you send them to, to derive specifications from your answers, and to send the emails you asked for, which is what the tool does and nothing more. We do not use your briefs to train anything, we do not read them except to help you when you ask, and we do not sell them. Do not put in a brief anything you have no right to share, and do not use a studio’s branding without its permission.

Acceptance

When a receiver accepts a brief, the brief is locked and the acceptance is timestamped. That is a record of what was agreed between the two of you; it is not a contract with us, and we are not a party to the work that follows, its price, or its outcome.

Paid plans, prices and VAT

Studio and Team are billed monthly or yearly, in advance, through Stripe. Prices are shown in euro and without VAT; where VAT applies it is added at checkout according to the country you give and whether you buy as a business with a VAT number. The price is shown in full before you pay. Invoices and receipts come from Stripe and are available from your billing page.

A plan renews automatically at the end of each period until you cancel. If a price changes, the new price applies from your next renewal, and we tell you by email at least 30 days before it does; you can cancel before then.

Cancelling and refunds

You can cancel at any time from your billing page. The plan then runs to the end of the period you paid for, and nothing more is charged. Nothing is deleted when you stop paying: briefs created while you paid keep their permanent links, and your dashboard and intake link keep working on the free plan.

If you cancel within 14 days of your first payment, for any reason, we refund that payment in full. This is the withdrawal right EU law gives consumers, and we give it to every customer. If you are a consumer under Danish law on a yearly plan, you may also end the plan with one month’s notice once five months have passed, and we refund the months not used.

Fair use

Do not use the service to send unsolicited briefs, to harass anyone, to store material unrelated to briefing design work, or to get round the rate limits on the API and on sign-in emails. We may remove content or close accounts that break these terms; if we close a paid account for this reason, the unused part of the period is not refunded.

Availability and changes to the service

We aim to keep the service available at all times but do not promise it; it may be down for maintenance or for reasons outside our control. We may change or remove features. If a change removes something a paid plan was sold on, we tell studios by email at least 30 days before, and you may cancel with a refund of the months not used.

No warranty on the specifications

The specifications the tool derives are looked up from platform documentation and industry standards and are checked periodically, but platforms change their limits and print houses have their own specifications. Check anything load-bearing with the person doing the work. Beyond that, the service is provided as it is.

Liability

We are liable for damage caused by our intent or gross negligence, and for anything the law does not let us exclude, including our obligations to consumers. Beyond that, our liability for a paid plan is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, and we are not liable for the free service, for indirect loss, or for the work agreed in a brief between you and the person you sent it to.

Ending an account

You can delete your account by writing to us from the signed-in address; see the privacy page for what is deleted and what the law makes us keep. We may end the free service or close an account with 30 days’ notice by email, and at once if these terms are broken.

Law and disputes

Danish law applies, and disputes go to the Danish courts. If you are a consumer, you keep the protections of the law of the country you live in, and you may also take a complaint to Nævnenes Hus, Center for Klageløsning at naevneneshus.dk. Changes to these terms

If these terms change in substance, the date at the top changes and studios with an account are told by email 30 days before the change applies to them. Using the service after that date means accepting the new terms. These terms apply to plans that existed before them from 7 October 2026.
